多目的な使用のシーン

店舗、ギャラリー、オフィスともなる可変的空間

大阪市の靱公園に隣接する岡崎ビルの最上階での計画である。店舗や事務所、イベント等の多目的な利用を可能とするため、僅か７坪の空間をフレキシブルに活用できる工夫が求められた。岡崎ビル全体を俯瞰すると、最上階である４階部分は３階建のビルの屋上にペントハウスとして増築されていた。周辺地域を調査すると同様のつくりのビルが散見され、その増築部のどれもがまるで秘密基地のような雰囲気を持ち、刹那的な佇まいによる魅力を醸し出していた。そのような周辺環境に着想を得て、本計画では可変性のある什器を室内に挿入し、仮設的に多目的空間を生み出す設計とした。什器は金属パイプで製作し、棚、テーブル、照明、展示パネル等を一挙に解決し、かつ小さなスペースながら奥行きのある樹木群のような空間が実現した。

This project is located on the top floor of the Okazaki Building, adjacent to Utsubo Park in Osaka. To accommodate multiple uses such as retail, office, and events, the challenge was to make flexible use of a compact space of only seven tsubo (approximately 23 square meters).

Looking at the Okazaki Building as a whole, the fourth floor—its top level—had been added later as a penthouse atop the original three-story structure. A survey of the surrounding neighborhood revealed several similar buildings, each with rooftop additions that carried the atmosphere of a “secret base,” projecting a transient yet alluring presence. Inspired by this urban context, the design concept for this project was to insert variable fixtures into the interior, creating a provisional multipurpose environment.

These fixtures, fabricated from metal pipes, integrate shelving, tables, lighting, and display panels in one system. Despite the limited floor area, the intervention generates a spatial depth reminiscent of a grove of trees, enabling the small room to transform into a richly layered environment.
