周辺地域の調査：ペントハウスギャラリー

多目的な使用のシーン

店舗、ギャラリー、オフィスとしても使われる可変的な空間の計画である。大阪市の靱公園に隣接する岡崎ビル最上階を敷地とし、店舗や事務所、イベントなど多目的な利用を想定する中で、わずか七坪の空間をいかにフレキシブルに活用できるかが求められた。岡崎ビル全体を俯瞰すると、最上階である四階部分は、三階建ての既存ビルの屋上にペントハウスとして増築された構成となっている。周辺を調査すると、同様のつくりをもつ建物が点在しており、それらの増築部はいずれも、まるで秘密基地のような雰囲気と、刹那的な佇まいによる独特の魅力を備えていた。こうした周辺環境から着想を得て、本計画では可変性のある什器を室内に挿入し、仮設的に多目的な空間を立ち上げる設計とした。什器は金属パイプによって構成し、棚、テーブル、照明、展示パネルといった機能を一体的に担わせている。限られた床面積でありながら、什器が連なることで奥行きが生まれ、樹木が立ち並ぶような、密度と広がりをあわせもつ空間を実現している。

This project explores a flexible space that can function as a shop, gallery, or office. It is located on the top floor of the Okazaki Building, adjacent to Utsubo Park in Osaka City. In order to accommodate a wide range of uses—including retail, office work, and events—the design was required to make highly flexible use of a compact space of just seven tsubo. Looking at the Okazaki Building as a whole, the fourth floor is a penthouse structure added atop an original three-story building. A survey of the surrounding area revealed a number of similar buildings, whose rooftop additions share a fleeting, almost secret-base-like character that lends them a unique charm. Drawing inspiration from this context, the project introduces movable fixtures into the interior to create a provisional, multi-purpose space. Constructed from metal pipes, the fixtures integrate shelving, tables, lighting, and display panels into a single system. Despite the limited floor area, the layered arrangement of these elements generates a sense of depth, resulting in a space that evokes the presence of a small grove of trees, dense yet expansive at the same time.
